Summer 2026 Education Internship Program:

The Lancaster Science Factory is pleased to offer paid Summer Education Internships to rising High School Seniors and college students! This is a paid internship program. Each selected intern will be paid $15.50/hr for up to 22.5 hours per week. Interns must commit to at least five weeks between June 8th to August 14th, 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

Do you enjoy working with kids? Are you interested in careers in STEM or becoming a teacher, and want some hands-on experience? Becoming a Summer STEM Camp Counselor at the Lancaster Science Factory could be the perfect fit for you!

• Work with Kindergarten – 8th grade student campers
• Assist camp instructors with their daily activities, including prepping materials and clean up
• Supervise campers during breaks in the exhibit hall and during lunch
• Assist with daily check-in and check-out
• Other duties around the Science Factory as required

Available Hours

Camps run from June 8th to August 14th. Each intern will work up to 22.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a regular morning and/or afternoon shift. Interns must commit to working at least five weeks of camp.

Requirements

• Enjoy being with children and eager to be an active participant in their camp experience.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Science Factory
• Have or obtain the applicable clearances to work with children in Pennsylvania.
