Honoring Heroes and Inspiring Children

The Lancaster Science Factory honors heroes and pioneers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by inducting them into our Hall of Heroes. James W Bunting, founder of the Lancaster Science Factory has said, “Every kid needs a hero to look up to, whose footsteps they can follow, who dreamed a big dream (and accomplished it) so they can say, ‘I can dream a big dream, too.” For that reason, we honor these men and women in hopes that our visitors will be inspired by their achievements.

Donors to the Lancaster Science Factory may choose to dedicate a plaque in their name to an inspiring or pioneering scientist, engineer, or mathematician, especially those whose work exemplified the values and mission of the Science Factory. For more information about sponsoring a STEM Hero, please contact Rob Reed, Development Director at [email protected] or 717-509-6363×106.

Black Innovators in STEM

We are pleased to highlight select biographies of outstanding black innovators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the Science Factory’s Hall of Heroes

The Lancaster Science Factory believes that children should be able to see themselves reflected in the STEM pioneers they learn about when they visit. If you or your business would like to sponsor a new plaque to help add more diversity to our walls, please contact Rob Reed at [email protected].
