At the Lancaster Science Factory we strive to align our educational programs and exhibits to Pennsylvania Academic Standards.

Pennsylvania STEELS Standards

The newly adopted Pennsylvania Integrated Standards for Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (STEELS) were published as final in the Pennsylvania Bulletin in July 2022. With a 3-year implementation window, the new standards will be fully integrated into classroom instruction by July 1, 2025.

PA STEELS Standards are based on the national Next Generation Science Standards, released in 2013.
