The COVID-19 Outbreak and the Lancaster Science Factory

The 2020 Science is Amazing Festival to be held on Saturday, March 21st, will be postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This decision was made based on several factors, including direct, CDC guidelines for community organizations to not hold events larger than 250 people. As a science organization, it is important that we listen to and act in accordance with the science in this situation.

For all of our visitors – the Lancaster Science Factory will remain open normal operating hours and all other regularly scheduled programs will continue. We will continue regular disinfecting routines in our facility and ensure that, as always, we are well stocked with soap, hand sanitizer, and other cleaning supplies. Guests should continue recommended hand-washing measures and stay home if they are feeling sick.

A new date for the Festival will be announced in the coming days. You can always check our current schedule of events at www.LancasterScienceFactory.org/event and follow us on Facebook @LancasterScienceFactory for all updates.
