About Miss Pennsylvania, Miranda Moore

A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Miranda Moore, is an Environmental Engineer, Sustainability Professional, Accomplished Clarinet Player, and Miss Pennsylvania 2023.

Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Georgia in 2021.  While at the University of Georgia, Miranda was a member of the Red Coat Band.  She is currently enrolled in the Social Impact Strategy certificate program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Miranda is a fierce advocate for raising awareness of how important the environment is and how our choices impact it.  Her goal is to provide people with the resources to make a difference.  She is traveling across the state to accomplish that goal.  Miranda is a huge proponent of women in STEM careers.

She is also an advocate for Take Action in Fashion.  Her goal is to change how we buy, wear, and think about fashion through awareness, representation, and engagement.  She is traveling across the state raising awareness for sustainability in fashion and the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry, and respect for people who make the garments.

Miranda brought her advocacy to a national stage where she represented Pennsylvania at the Miss America Competition in January 2024.
