Compete in the Lancaster STEM Showdown!
On Saturday, December 7th, 2024, kids in grades K – 6 will come together to compete in STEM challenges and try and win the gold!
How Does It Work?
How To Participate
Kids can qualify for STEM Showdown events by completing a hands-on STEM workshop or attending a qualifying event at the Lancaster Science Factory or Lancaster Rec! After each qualifying workshop, kids will receive an invitation to register.

Resources for Teachers
Teachers who would like their students to qualify for the STEM Showdown may also download our instruction guides which provide a lesson outline on each activity. After they complete the workshop, you can provide your students with the associated event sign-up flyer!
What are the Events?
Events during the Showdown will be tiered based on grade levels (except for the Egg Drop). Students will take the skills they learned in their qualifying workshop and put them into practice for the competition!
