Compete in the Lancaster STEM Showdown!
On Saturday, January 11th, 2025, kids in grades K – 6 will come together to compete in STEM challenges and try and win the gold!
How Does It Work?
How To Participate
Kids can qualify for STEM Showdown events by completing a hands-on STEM workshop or attending a qualifying event at the Lancaster Science Factory or Lancaster Rec! After each qualifying workshop, kids will receive an invitation to register.
Check the calendar below for upcoming workshops and events. Click here for more information about the Lancaster Recreation Commission’s afterschool program for the School District of Lancaster.
Resources for Teachers
Teachers who would like their students to qualify for the STEM Showdown may also download our instruction guides which provide a lesson outline on each activity. Instruction guides also include sign-up flyers to provide to each student after they complete the workshop.
What are the Events?
Events during the Showdown will be tiered based on grade levels. Students will take the skills they learned in their qualifying workshop and put them into practice for the competition!
