Compete in the Lancaster STEM Showdown!

On Saturday, December 8th, 2024, kids in grades K – 6 will come together to compete in STEM challenges and try and win the gold!

How Does It Work?

Students who participate in a STEM Showdown workshop will receive an invitation code to sign up to compete in the Showdown on December 8th. There are many ways your students can participate in a workshop:

  • Visit the Lancaster Science Factory for STEM Showdown activities and classes (check the Events Calendar for dates).
  • Participate in summer or afterschool programs with the Lancaster Rec.
  • Teachers can add a STEM Showdown workshop to their field trip to the Lancaster Science Factory this fall OR have us visit your school, library, or non-profit organization!
  • Teachers can download our event guides to facilitate qualifying lessons on their own.

What are the Events?

Events during the Showdown will be tiered based on grade levels (except for the Egg Drop). Students will take the skills they learned in their qualifying workshop and apply them to the competition!
