Isiah Perry joined the Lancaster Science Factory in August 2025 as the Education Manager, where he supervises education staff and leads all programs, including STEM camps, Girl’s Code, field trips, outreach, and special events. He brings  a decade of experience in youth development, community engagement, and STEM education.

Born and raised in Lancaster, Isiah is a proud graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. His career has been shaped by a commitment to dismantling barriers for young people, particularly those underrepresented in science and technology, and ensuring that STEM education is both equitable and transformative. He has completed multiple national-level trainings in STEM education, including the Smithsonian Science Education Center’s Diversity in STEM Education Summit, the John Matthey STEM Teaching Fellowship, and certifications as an Environmental Action Civics Trainer, and Dimensions of Success. These experiences allow him to support both students and educators in building inclusive, high-quality STEM learning environments.

Isiah’s STEM hero is Dasia Taylor, a young inventor he had the privilege of meeting in person. At only 17 years old, Dasia created “color-changing sutures” that detect infections, a groundbreaking innovation that saved countless lives and has gained national recognition. For Isiah, her story is a reminder to the youth he serves that innovation and impact aren’t limited by age. Teenagers and even younger children can change the world with their ideas.

Outside of his role at the Science Factory, Isiah serves on several community boards and committees for Millersville University, SoWe, and Bright Side Baptist Church. When he isn’t busy with community service, you can usually find him in an intensive game of UNO, defending his title as the reigning UNO Champion of the World.
