Day Camps @ The Science Factory!
The Lancaster Science Factory offers day camps at various times thoughout the year. Kids in grades K – 6 can spend their days off from school and holiday breaks engaging in fun hands-on STEM and exploring our expansive exhibit hall. Check out our upcoming offerings:

Day Off Camp!
Spend your day off from school at the Lancaster Science Factory! Kids in grades K – 6 will enjoy two different hands-on STEM sessions with plenty of time to explore the exhibit hall and a lunch break in between!
Each full-day camp is $80 per student.

- Monday, December 2nd (Monday after Thanksgiving)
- Edison Bots: Whether they’ve had experience with robots before or are new to the game, kids will love spending the morning with Edison Bots! Learn about barcode programs and engage in some sumo-style bot battles!
- Supervised lunch break and exploration in the exhibit hall.
- Mars Bound: There is still much to learn about our planetary neighbor! Kids will design and test a parachute landing system and build a rover to land on a Mars model!
Winter Camps

Spend your winter break at the Lancaster Science Factory! Kids will enjoy these fun-filled half-day camps. Choose a morning and an afternoon session, pack a lunch, and stay all day! Be sure to carefully read descriptions and grade-level requirements.
Each half-day camp is $40 per student. Choose a morning and afternoon camp to pack a lunch and stay all day!

- Thursday, December 26th
- 9 am – 12 pm – Birds of a Feather for Grades K – 6: Did you know that Winter is the best time to see birds out your window? Kids will learn to identify common birds in our area, learn what makes a bird a bird, and make a bird feeder to take home.
- Supervised lunch break and exploration in the exhibit hall for kids staying all day.
- 1 – 4 pm – Marvelous Mosaics for Grades K – 6: In this Winter Camp kids will explore the vibrant world of mosaic art. They’ll explore patterns and tap into their creativity as they complete a mosaic project to take home!
- Friday, December 27th
- 9 am – 12 pm – ToyTake Apart for Grades 2 – 8: Students will deconstruct battery-powered toys and learn about the electronics and engineering design that make them tick! Kids can bring along an old toy for this camp, but it’s not required.
- Supervised lunch break and exploration in the exhibit hall.
- 1 – 4 pm – Winter Watercolors for Grades 2 – 8: Time to flex your creativity! In this camp, kids will create works of wintery-themed watercolor art using techniques like crayon resist and others.
- Saturday, December 28th
- 9 am – 12 pm – Cardboard Creations for Grades 2 – 8: Students will unleash their creativity and go through the engineering design process as they create a mini-golf course out of cardboard and other upcycled materials.
- Supervised lunch break and exploration in the exhibit hall.
- 1 – 4 pm – Sew a Plushie for Grades 2 – 8: Kids will learn sewing basics like how to read a pattern, sew pieces together, add buttons, and more as they create their own plushie to take home!
