Here’s a list of STEM summer camps offered by the Lancaster Science Factory

The science facility is hosting a slew of summer camps for kids this summer, with themes ranging from how to become a “mathemagician” to “painting with a twist.”

Held Monday through Friday as either five half-day morning sessions (9 a.m. to noon) or five half-day afternoon sessions (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.), each camp costs $135 per child. Members receive a 10-percent discount.

Registration is open until one week prior to the start of the camp.

Children who register for both a morning and afternoon session are asked to bring a packed lunch.

Here’s the list of summer camps still open for registration:

Mathemagician Academy – The Advancing Magician

When: July 24-28 (a.m.)

Grades: 3-8

Description: It is recommended that students take Beginner’s Mathemagician offered earlier in the summer, but it is not required. This course is similar, but the math and the magic will be all new and a bit more challenging than in the first course. It is designed for students who enjoy math and magic. You will leave with a magic box full of new tricks and a brain stuffed with mind-blowing magic and math.

Girls Feature: Lotions and Potions

When: July 24-28 (p.m.)

Grades: 1-8

Description: A “Pamper Party” like none other! Learn the science and math behind looking and smelling fabulous! From bubble baths and bath salts to perfumes and powder puffs, lotions and lip balms, hand scrubs and massage rubs, come enjoy the science of beauty.

Painting with a Twist meets STEAM as they present: “Animal Crackers”

When: July 31 to Aug. 4 (a.m.)

Grades: K-5

Description: Discover your inner artist as you encounter STEAM! Allow your inner creativity to flow along as you discover the connection to color, texture, patterns and so much more. Join a professional artist as they walk you through the scientific process of art creation.

Painting with a Twist meets STEAM as they present: “Creating Creatures”

When: July 31 to Aug. 4 (p.m.)

Grades: 4-8

Description: (See “Painting with a Twist” above.)

Sustainable Life and Living

When: Aug. 7-11 (p.m.)

Grades: 2-8

Description: Learn why certain animals are able to survive in specific habitats and be prepared for a challenge: Can you engineer better than an animal? Also get ready to solve some of the world’s most challenging problems. How can you grow food on flooded landA? How can you turn fog into useable water? This camp is all about how humans and animals adapt to survive against all odds.

Sensory Play: Making Brain Connections

When: Aug. 14-18 (p.m.)

Grades: 3-8

Description: Welcome to a world where the brain is not just the brain but the reason for everything. We see, because of our brain. We feel, because of our brain. We taste, because of our brain. The five senses, touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste, will be explored as we unravel the most complex organ in our body, the brain.

Lancaster Science Factory also offers four-day camps for 4- to 6-year-olds at a cost of $108.

Science that Sticks – Being a Scientist

When: Aug. 21-24 (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
